Ever dreamed of driving a steam locomotive? This unique taster puts you at the controls of ‘Wren’, a 0-4-0 steam engine built in 1918, under the expert guidance of a Vale of Rheidol driver.
Sessions take place in the Aberystwyth station yard, where you will receive a full safety briefing, learn how to operate the regulator and other controls, and move the locomotive in a safe, relaxed environment. It’s a memorable, hands-on experience for steam enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.
