Locals Discount Card
We’ve launched our Locals Discount Card at Vale of Rheidol Railway – exclusively for residents of Ceredigion.
It’s our way of giving back to the locals who support us all year round.
Discounts* include:
20% off train travel (excluding special events)
10% off at Cledrau Café
10% off in our gift shop
FREE parking (only when accessing our facilities)

You will need to bring proof of address (e.g. utility bill, council tax bill or driving licence) to purchase.
Cards cost £10 and are valid for one year from date of purchase.
Terms & Conditions
- Discount cards are only available for Ceredigion residents.
- Proof of residency will be
required when purchasing your card. (eg, council tax bill, driving licence, utility bill etc) - Cards can only be purchased directly from our Aberystwyth Booking Office.
- Cards cost £10 each and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
- Discounts cannot be used in combination with any other special offer code or discount.
- Discounted train travel is not available during special events (including Santa Trains), or tours or private photo charters.
- Discounted train travel only applies to adult fares and only to the individual card holder. You will need to purchase tickets directly from the booking office or over the phone.
- Loyalty cards must be presented with every shop and café transaction to apply the discount.
- Free parking is only permitted whilst accessing the railway facilities. No overnight parking.
