Introducing Cledrau – Aberystwyth’s New Café at the Heart of the Railway

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of Cledrau, our brand-new café here at the Vale of Rheidol Railway – and for the first time in our history, we can now welcome you to enjoy coffee, cakes, and freshly prepared food right here at our Aberystwyth station.

Named after the Welsh word for “tracks”, Cledrau sits in a unique location overlooking our railway lines and the neighbouring Cambrian mainline. It’s a beautifully designed space – light, airy, and filled with railway charm – making it the perfect place to watch the trains go by while you relax.

Open seven days a week from 9.30am, Cledrau offers something for everyone – whether you’re a local looking for a new favourite spot, a visitor starting your Vale of Rheidol adventure, or simply passing by and in need of a pick-me-up.

Our menu has been carefully created to showcase fresh, quality food. Enjoy barista coffee, cakes baked daily on the premises, and a range of hot and cold drinks.
