Specific seats are not allocated with the exception of Santa Specials trains. We do reserve carriages / compartments for pre-booked group visits and large parties.

Yes. Dogs are welcome on board the trains. A standard price of £4.00 per dog applies. Guide/Assistance dogs travel free of charge. We regret that dogs are not allowed in First class compartments.

Where space allows we are able to carry bikes on the train. During busy trains, this may not be possible. There is a fee for the conveyance on bicycles on the train.

If traveling in standard class seating you may return on any public timetabled train on the day of travel (Excluding special events).
If you have booked First Class or the accessible compartment you will need to return on the same train, due to the limited availability of these tickets.

Yes, single tickets are available, these tickets are not available from our website and can only be booked from the Booking Office or by telephone.Trains call on request at Capel Bangor, Nantyronen and Aberffrwd stations and halts at Llanbadarn, Glanyrafon, Rheidol Falls and Rhiwfron.

We offer discounts for holders of Great Little Trains of Wales Discount Cards, National Rail Staff Travel Cards and Blue Light Cards. Please present these at the Booking Office when collecting your tickets.Regular fares apply to all other passengers.

We appreciate that disabilities are not just visible but also hidden so our policy allows the necessary companion, or carer of a disabled visitor with a discounted fare on standard services, when the full fare is paid by the disabled visitor.
We request customers who have purchased a discounted Carer ticket to carry one of the following forms of ID when travelling on board services and to produce at the booking office when collecting their ticket:
