Caffi Cledrau – Aberystwyth Station
Named after the Welsh word for “tracks”, Cledrau sits in a unique location overlooking our railway lines and the neighbouring Cambrian mainline. It’s a beautifully designed space, light, airy, and filled with railway charm, making it the perfect place to watch the trains go by while you relax.
Cledrau offers something for everyone whether you’re a local looking for a new favourite spot, a visitor starting your Vale of Rheidol adventure or simply passing by and in need of a pick-me-up. Dogs are welcome too, so there’s no need to leave anyone behind.
Our menu has been carefully created to showcase fresh, quality food. Enjoy barista coffee, cakes baked daily on the premises, and a range of hot and cold drinks to enjoy on site, or to take away. For something more substantial, we’re serving freshly prepared lunches including sandwiches, toasties, paninis, jacket potatoes, and tempting daily specials.
Whether you’re calling in for a quick coffee or settling down for a leisurely lunch with a view, you’ll find always find a warm welcome waiting at Cledrau.

Please note from Monday 23rd February until early March, the path from the town centre to the shop entrance will be CLOSED for resurfacing. Access to the café, shop and museum will be via our main entrance in Park Avenue only.

Devil’s Bridge Station
Our Devil’s Bridge Station site is currently under redevelopment. The plans include the construction of a new building featuring high-quality toilet facilities and an engine shed, replicating structures that were present in the early 20th century. The station will also see the recreation of the former timber yard.
Whilst the catering building is no longer in operation, our Devil’s Bridge shop offers a limited range of refreshments including Lavazza coffees, sweet treats and ice creams, along with takeaway sandwiches, freshly prepared by Cledrau Cafe at our Aberystwyth Station.
Sarah Buntons - Chocolatier
Watch Professional Chocolatiers create Award Winning handmade Chocolates and Welsh Fudge through the purpose built window in the chocolate workshop. Browse a range of gift ideas and indulgent chocolates for any occasion.
In the adjoining takeaway kiosk, Y Caban also serves hot and cold drinks, luxury Welsh ice cream and light lunches during the summer months. Exact opening times may vary.
The Hafod Hotel
Just a short walk from the railway situation beside the famous Devil’s Bridge Falls is the Hafod Hotel, serving a wide range of freshly prepared dishes, featuring fantastic local produce and seasonal flavours.
