Dyffryns big day out…. May half term

Enjoy a day of fun and activities with Dyffryn our lovable dragon in our Engine Shed at Aberystwyth Station before boarding the train, travelling in Standard Class Seating to Devil’s Bridge and back. Arrive an hour before the train departure to meet Dyffryn!

Itinerary

Activities with Dyffryn the Dragon in the Engine Shed Museum and Station Platform (45 mins aprox)
Outward journey from Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge (1 hour)
Time in Devil’s Bridge to explore. Most trains wait up to 1 hour in Devil’s Bridge before returning. The 1545 trip from Aberystwyth waits for up to 30 minutes only before returning
Return journey from Devil’s Bridge to Aberystwyth (1 hour)

Travel behind one of our vintage steam locomotives built in the 1920s

See the red kites. Once threatened with extinction, these birds of prey are often seen from the train.

Visit the Engine Shed display at Aberystwyth station and see locomotives from our collection and the incredible Fire Queen
Talk to our friendly and knowledgeable loco crews, guards and station staff.

There is the option to visit the famous Devil’s Bridge Waterfalls and discover the legend of Devil’s Bridge. This is a separate visitor attraction. Admission fee applies.
