The Vale of Rheidol Railway has been running for over 120 years. Hop aboard a historic steam train for a journey through the stunning Welsh countryside on one of the most spectacular railway journeys in the UK.

Departing from Devil’s Bridge, this scenic route takes you on a picturesque ride through the Cambrian Mountains to the coast at Aberystwyth.

  • On orange timetable dates you have approx 30 minutes in Aberystwyth before returning to Devil’s Bridge.
  • On yellow timetable dates, longer visits to Aberystwyth are possible before returning to Devil’s Bridge. See timetables.

What’s included

  • Train journey – 24 mile round trip
  • Free admission to the Engine Shed display at Aberystwyth Station. The Museum opens at 9:00am
  • Last museum admission is 4:15pm on orange timetable dates
